Shipping a Car is run by My Car Import. We started out importing vehicles into the UK, and shipping them here is a big part of that, so we built a service just for it.
Why a separate shipping service?
My Car Import was founded on importing vehicles to the UK: the shipping, the customs, the testing and the registration. Plenty of people only need the first part. They are moving home, or they have bought a car abroad and just want it here, safely.
This site is for them. It is the same team, the same partners and the same yard in Castle Donington. We ship cars to the UK by container, RoRo and air, and you deal with people who know your car, not a call centre.
If you do decide you want it registered, nothing changes hands. It just stays with us. More on that at mycarimport.co.uk.

A simple process

Customs done in-house
We are fully authorised HMRC CDS entry agents with our own customs staff, so we clear your car ourselves rather than passing it to someone else.

Our own yard
Containers come to our private facility to be unloaded by our team. It gives us direct control from the port and takes the waiting out.
