Every bike is different
Bikes vary a lot in size and shape, so we plan around yours rather than forcing it into a standard slot. Tell us the make and model and anything unusual about it, and we will work out the right way to ship it.
How we ship it
- A chat about the bike, where it is and where it needs to go
- A shipping plan with the method, route and timings
- An inspection before loading, so we both agree its condition
- Secure loading with proper equipment, so it cannot move in transit
- Updates throughout, and customs clearance when it lands
Insured in transit
Our marine insurance covers damage or loss on the journey. Your normal bike insurance will not, so it is worth having.
Questions people ask
How much does it cost to ship a motorbike to the UK?
From £1,250 from anywhere, as a guide built from a year of real jobs. Bikes travel in shared containers, which keeps the cost down. Registration, other services, import tax and remedial fees are extra.
Do motorbikes pay the same import tax as cars?
Yes, the same rules apply: 20% VAT and 10% duty from outside the EU, 20% VAT from the EU, and 5% VAT with no duty at 30 years old.
Is my bike inspected before shipping?
Yes. We inspect it before loading so we both agree its condition, then load it with proper equipment so it cannot move.
